What's Nanospintronics?      In our group, we aim to establish "Nanospintronics", in which new phenomena based on the interaction between charge and spin are facilitated. We would like to control the dynamics of the spin in highly oriented single crystal metals, semiconductors and molecules by using magnetic field, electric field, light and spin-current. Main research topics are as follows: (I) Understanding the physics of spin-dependent transport and current-induced magnetization switching (II) Establishing the ultralow energy consumption magnetization control technique by voltage (III) Highly sensitive spin-torque devices, and the proposal for the device with new functionality such as spin-transistors.
